English: Arlington, Va. (February 20, 2004) – Members of the US Forces Honor Guard march at the funeral of Adm. Thomas H. Moorer retired. Adm is a graduate. Moorer was from the Naval Academy Class of 1933 and served as Chief of Naval Operations from 1967-1970, when he was appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a position he held until his retirement in 1974. A former Navy aviator, Moorer received numerous decorations and honors during his service, including the Department of Defense Medal and the Air Force Cross.
